Clothing and textile industry

The clothing and textile industry with 2,000 active companies is the oldest in Latvia. The production of textiles and clothing using modern technology is what the industry owes its success.

Around 80% of the total output is exported. Products made in Latvia are worn by consumers in 140 countries around the world, including Estonia, Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Belarus, Denmark and Poland.
